How does the sticker ritual work?

The stickers are optional — use them to celebrate firsts and personalize the charts as your child grows, or simply record milestone dates on the charts without stickers. There is no required placement or schedule; use them in whatever way makes the keepsake meaningful to you.

Is it dated or age-locked?

No pressure, no deadlines. Every child reaches milestones on their own timeline, and the chart is designed to be filled in whenever that happens — even after the bracket's typical age window has passed.

About This Product

Up the Ladder™ Infant Milestone Charts

The sole purpose of the charts in this product is to provide a keepsake record of childhood milestones that is easier to reference later than a chronological diary. The milestones are organized by category for convenience in recording when each occurred and later finding that information without having to search through date-ordered diary entries.

Up the Ladder™ is a keepsake, not a developmental assessment. The charts are intended to help parents and caregivers record and celebrate an infant’s development during the first year; they are not intended to evaluate that development.

NP Press makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding this product or its content, and shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from its use.

The milestones, typical age ranges, and categories presented on the charts are derived from established sources. NP Press did not independently determine what constitutes a milestone, the typical age range in which a milestone belongs, or the category in which it appears. NP Press organized this source-derived information into the Up the Ladder™ keepsake format and has not independently medically or clinically validated it.

The age ranges are not deadlines. Children develop at different rates. Reaching a milestone earlier or later than the age range shown, or not reaching a listed milestone within that range, does not indicate whether a child’s development is typical or atypical.

Up the Ladder™ is not a developmental screening or assessment, diagnostic tool, medical device, or substitute for professional medical or developmental advice. The charts should not be used to determine whether a child needs evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, or intervention.

Questions or concerns about a child’s development should be discussed with the child’s pediatrician or another appropriately qualified professional.

Developmental sources: Milestones and typical age ranges appearing in the four core developmental categories are documented in established developmental sources, including CDC/AAP Learn the Signs. Act Early. materials. Adaptive / Self-Care behaviors and age ranges are documented in infant feeding and self-care developmental information published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). Identification of these sources does not imply their sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation with NP Press or Up the Ladder™.
